Summary This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval , award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application. Duties Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional The BHIP Social Work Program Coordinator will split their time between providing BHIP clinical services and the administrative tasks associated with program management. Responsibilities include providing diagnostic assessments, individual and group psychotherapy, psychological testing, and case management services. Veterans treated within BHIP teams come from a wide geographic area and have a wide range of mental health diagnoses. Their healthcare, psychosocial problems, and needs are complex. Duties may include but are not limited to: Provides clinical services including direct clinical care, via Tele-Mental Health and face-to-face modalities. A strong emphasis is placed on providing evidence-based treatments. Develops comprehensive treatment plans in coordination with interdisciplinary team members, including goals, objectives, and interventions for psychosocial clinical treatment. Provides individual, family, and group therapy services in accordance with the needs identified in the Veteran's treatment assessment and treatment plan. Ultimately responsible for all entries in the Veteran's medical record (CPRS) and timely completion thereof, including discharge summaries and patient encounters. Adheres to HIPAA, privacy regulations and VHA Directives related to release of information. Responsible for completion of all assigned clinical reminders for patients under his/her care, and performance measures assigned to the Care Line. Provides direct administrative supervision to BHIP Psychologists, Social Workers, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapists (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC), Psychiatrists, APRNs, PAs, and PSAs. Develops short- and long-range goals and plans related to strategic plan. Develops and implements policies and procedures to ensure goal attainment. Provides leadership and guidance in carrying out program planning, outcome evaluation, and staff development activities. Participates fully in peer review, assessing the quality of professional standards provided in the organization. Responsible for identification of patient problems requiring consultation with other multi-disciplinary medical center staff and making appropriate referrals. Participates in a variety of meetings as directed by the Associate Chief of Staff-Behavioral Health (ACOS-BH), Deputy ACOS-BH, and Supervisory SW, BHS. Evaluates and monitors the quality of the professional services provided by their BHIP teams. Serves as 'champions' for Mental Health Suite (MHS) and Behavioral Health Lab (BHL) and is highly proficient in all software programs and data dashboards utilized for BHIP. Responsible for oversight of required clinical records as well as any reports due to higher level reporting agencies.
