About The Role We are seeking a dynamic and strategic individual to join our team in the role of Investment Analyst. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with seasoned investors and industry experts, providing critical support in evaluating potential investment opportunities. The Investment Analyst will be responsible for conducting market research, performing financial analysis, and assisting in the due diligence process to identify promising startups aligned with Menlo Ventures' investment thesis. The role requires a proactive mindset, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field; an advanced degree such as an MBA is a plus. Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret financial statements and market data. Previous internship or work experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or related fields is preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and external partners. Proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, and data analysis tools. Demonstrated passion for technology, startups, and innovation. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging trends and potential investment opportunities. Assist in the evaluation of startup companies through financial analysis, industry research, and competitive benchmarking. Support the due diligence process by gathering and analyzing relevant data, preparing investment memos, and presenting findings to the investment team. Monitor portfolio companies’ performance and assist in ongoing strategic discussions. Maintain and update the firm’s deal pipeline and database with relevant information. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support deal sourcing, negotiations, and post-investment activities. Participate in networking events, industry conferences, and startup demos to expand the firm’s deal flow and industry insights.
