About the Opportunity: The Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure & Acquisition is responsible for managing all aspects of data collection to support AI model training. This role ensures the development and maintenance of high-quality, large-scale datasets through close collaboration with scientists and engineers. The position directly contributes to advancing data infrastructure, optimizing cost and quality, and enabling next-generation AI-powered products. The role is critical for driving the data strategy that underpins the organization''s consumer and enterprise offerings. Responsibilities: • Identify and acquire new sources of audio data for ingestion Operate and enhance cloud infrastructure for data ingestion, primarily on GCP with Terraform Collaborate with research scientists to improve data quality, scalability, and cost efficiency Work with AI Team and leadership to develop the dataset roadmap supporting future products Requirements: • BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field 5+ years of software development experience Proficiency in bash and Python scripting within Linux environments Experience with Docker, Infrastructure-as-Code, and at least one major cloud provider (GCP preferred) Familiarity with web crawlers and large-scale data processing workflows is a plus Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to change Strong written and verbal communication skills Pay Range and Compensation Package: • The United States base salary range for this full-time position is $140,000-$200,000 plus bonus and equity, depending on experience Benefits & Perks: • Competitive salaries and a laid-back, asynchronous work culture Opportunity to impact products used by millions Work focused on supporting individuals with learning differences Engagement in a fast-growing sector combining artificial intelligence and audio technology Equal Opportunity Statement: Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
