Over the last 35 years, we've worked hard to build The Chef's Garden.It's a unique niche - home to creativity, innovation, a commitment to excellence, and some of the best produce in the world.What started as a small family farm has grown to include many more people - still family nonetheless.We're humbled that you'd consider joining us in the work that we do.The Seed Assistant is an important position in our operations.Before our produce ever reaches the plates of our customers, it starts as a seed being planted by our Seeders.The Seed Assistant assembles and prepares our flats so that they can grow into plants ready for harvest.An ideal candidate for this job is great with details and following instructions and procedures.It's a great position for someone who likes to remain active throughout the day as you'll regularly need to stand for long periods of time and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.Things like bags of soil, seed bags, fertilizer, and trays.In return, you'll receive all of the basics:medical and voluntary insurance benefits, paid holidays and PTO, and a 401k with match.This is a full-time, year-round position with a work schedule Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m.until 3:30 p.m.(or until finished).On top of that, we offer a profit sharing bonus, access to our produce (don't blame us if you become a foodie), opportunities for professional growth and development, free salad bar for lunch with a protein option for purchase, and casual dress all year-round - we're not stuffy folk.While things on the farm can look different almost every day, here's what some day-to-day responsibilities may look like:Working with the Seeder to learn the variety of seeds and how to set up and operate the seed machine.Duties will also include hand seeding.Stacking and preparing the trays for transport so that they can be sent to the designated greenhouse locations Maintain cleanliness of supplies, following good agricultural practices and safety standards If you're interested in joining the Chef's Garden family, please submit your resume/application.We're excited to talk about the ways you might best fit here on the farm.At The Chef's Garden, equal talent will always get equal opportunity.We are a drug-free workplace.Background check and drug test required.Job Type:Full-time.
