Lead Solar QA/QC Inspector (Contract-to-Hire) Phase 3 Training Corporation Location: Philadelphia, PA (local travel within city and surrounding counties) Job Type: Contract-to-Hire (1099, with opportunity for full-time transition) About the Role Phase 3 Training Corporation is seeking a Lead Solar QA/QC Inspector to support the Solarize Philadelphia program. This role focuses on post-installation inspections, ensuring solar PV systems are installed safely, correctly, and in compliance with NEC standards. This is a high-volume, field-based role ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, independent, and experienced in solar or electrical systems. Key Responsibilities Conduct post-installation solar inspections (primary responsibility) Verify system compliance with NEC codes and approved designs Inspect components including wiring, conduit, grounding, labeling, and inverters Identify deficiencies and document required corrections Coordinate with installers to resolve issues when needed Perform re-inspections and verification visits Complete and submit inspection reports with photos within 2business days Compensation This role is pay-per-inspection (not hourly) . Typical Pay: Standard inspections: $200 per inspection Complex inspections: $300+ per inspection Additional earnings available for: Battery inspections, Electrical upgrades, Re-inspections and repair coordination Earning Potential: 4–6 inspections per day $800–$1,200+ per day for productive inspectors Requirements 3+ years of experience in: Solar installation, inspection, or electrical work Working knowledge of: NEC codes (especially solar-related sections) Ability to work independently in the field Strong attention to detail and documentation skills Comfortable working on rooftops and at heights Experience with solar QA/QC inspections Familiarity with battery storage systems OSHA-10 certification (OSHA-30 preferred) NABCEP certification or training Logistics Must have reliable transportation (truck or SUV preferred) Ability to transport ladder and basic inspection equipment Work is primarily located within Philadelphia (limited long-distance travel) Why Join Phase 3 High earning potential with flexible scheduling Work on a large-scale clean energy initiative Opportunity to transition into a full-time leadership role Be part of a growing organization in the solar inspection space Pay: $1,000.00 - $1,200.00 per day Work Location: In person
