Job Description
Overview Join Pediatrix Medical Group as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in our Maternal-Fetal Medicine Clinic (Maternal Fetal Medicine of Houston), performing high-risk MFM ultrasounds and supporting patients and physicians in a collaborative care environment. Candidates should be graduates of an accredited sonography program with ARDMS OB/GYN eligibility and CPR certification. This full-time role offers a Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM schedule with no weekends or holidays for excellent work-life balance, and onsite parking is fully covered by the practice. Responsibilities The diagnostic medical Sonographer provides diagnostic ultrasound for patients in the Maternal Fetal Medicine setting. The diagnostic medical Sonographer works independently and with other members of the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care to pregnant women. They work closely with perinatologists, providing preliminary reports and assisting with procedures. Provide a brief description of the job's primary purpose and responsibility within the organization. Perform detailed fetal anatomical surveys, including twins and triplets. Acquires anatomical, pathological, and/or physiological data for interpretation by a physician. Assists physicians with procedures such as amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling. Accurately documents exam findings, measurements, images, and procedural details in the ultrasound reporting and image archiving systems. Records patient history, indications, and pertinent observations in accordance with departmental protocols and regulatory standards. Generates clear, comprehensive preliminary reports for interpreting physician review and final signature. Reviews completed studies with interpreting physicians to communicate finding
