So, everything we do at CNH Industrial is about reaching new heights as one team, always delivering for the good of our customers. #appcast Job Purpose The Strategic Sourcing Specialist III is an individual contributor responsible for managing the sourcing of medium‑ to high‑complexity production parts for CNH Industrial’s North American manufacturing plants. This role supports the development and execution of the strategic direction for assigned Mechanical Commodities and requires exceptional communication skills, strong organizational and time‑management capabilities, and the ability to build collaborative relationships with suppliers and internal cross‑functional teams. The Specialist will lead negotiations, support budget and sourcing targets, and help achieve departmental and organizational objectives. Key responsibilities include forecasting and reporting economic savings, negotiating price adjustments, driving long‑term agreements, conducting market tests, awarding new business to maximize leverage, and analyzing data to identify cost‑reduction opportunities. Additionally, the Specialist will support special projects as needed to advance overall commodity goals. Key Responsibilities Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Selection Lead supplier evaluation, selection, and sourcing activities for assigned commodities across North American operations, while supporting global sourcing initiatives with the global commodity team. Develop and implement regional and global supply base strategies that achieve the lowest total cost across quality, delivery, lead time, service, and unit cost. Program & New Product Launch Support Support new product launch initiatives by developing sourcing and cost‑reduction strategies, leveraging common parts and platforms to meet program timing, cost, quality, and delivery objectives. High‑Impact Negotiations Lead complex negotiations covering pricing, commercial terms, and risk mitigation. Negotiate, implement, and manage MSAs and LTAs that deliver best‑in‑class total value and support organizational cost‑reduction goals. Cross‑Functional Collaboration Partner with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, and Program Management to understand requirements, budgets, and operational challenges. Translate business needs effective sourcing strategies that support performance and long‑term competitiveness. Supplier Performance & Relationship Management Drive supplier segmentation, performance scorecards, and strategic business reviews. Build and strengthen strategic partnerships with key suppliers to ensure alignment, collaboration, and long‑term value creation. Cost Leadership & Continuous Improvement Identify and execute cost‑reduction opportunities through data analysis, market tests, and supplier collaboration. Drive product cost savings and process improvements to support annual budget performance. Market Intelligence & Commodity Insight Monitor and analyze industry trends, cost drivers, global pricing, lead times, and supplier capabilities. Use market intelligence to proactively manage risk and shape long‑term commodity strategies. Experience Required A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field along with a minimum of 8 years of purchasing experience. Ability to travel up to 20% - domestic and international (majority of travel will be domestic). Preferred Qualifications Intermediate level of proficiency in Excel (to include pivot tables and v-look ups) Excellent verbal and written communication skills, negotiation skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, and computer skills Excel
