Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Sous Chef/Kitchen Prep professional to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities Assist the head chef in overseeing kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating to meet quality standards. Supervise kitchen staff during shifts, providing guidance on food safety, hygiene practices, and efficient workflow. Support menu planning and food production activities for various service types such as fine dining, banquets, and catering events. Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards throughout the kitchen environment. Coordinate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and restrictions for guests. Lead by example in food handling procedures, ensuring high standards of hygiene and safety are consistently upheld. Qualifications Proven experience in a culinary or kitchen prep role within a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment. Demonstrated supervisory or team management experience with the ability to motivate staff effectively. Strong background in food production, food handling, and kitchen management techniques. Experience with banquet services, catering operations, and fine dining settings is highly desirable. Knowledge of inventory management systems and food safety protocols is essential. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently under pressure. Culinary training or certifications preferred; hands-on experience in the food industry is required.
