Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and polished Sous Chef to serve within our culinary team in New York City. Key Responsibilities Execute and present dishes with exceptional attention to detail, artistry, and consistency Ensure seamless kitchen operations, maintaining the highest standards of timing, quality, and service Lead kitchen operations in the absence of the Executive Chef, including oversight of food preparation and service execution Proactively resolve operational challenges while maintaining composure and professionalism in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment Train, mentor, and inspire culinary team members, fostering growth and maintaining a culture of excellence Develop staff schedules, monitor performance, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback Manage inventory, sourcing, and ordering of premium ingredients while maintaining cost controls Uphold and enforce all health, sanitation, and safety regulations in accordance with industry and luxury brand standards Maintain accurate timekeeping and payroll records Cultivate a collaborative, respectful, and guest-focused environment among team members Qualifications 2+ years culinary management experience Proven experience in luxury hotel kitchens or fine dining establishments Execution of high-end culinary concepts Strong leadership and team management skills with a track record of developing talent Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask and perform under pressure High level of professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to culinary excellence Ability to respond quickly and effectively to challenges while maintaining service standards
