Spanish In-Person Interpreter

Professional Interpreting Services is currently seeking Spanish interpreters to act as a conduit between the English and Spanish languages.As an independent contractor, you will have the opportunity to render on-site interpreting services for leading healthcare professionals, along with social services and other organizations in a variety of settings.Important:This is not a full-time employee position.As an independent contractor, you will have the freedom to accept or decline assignments, manage your own schedule, and invoice for services rendered.Responsibilities Provide accurate and culturally sensitive interpretation between Spanish and English in a variety of settings.Prepare for assignments by familiarizing yourself with relevant terminology and subject matter.Comply with standards and ethical guidelines of the role of a professional/interpreter as given during onboarding.Requirements Fluent in Spanish and English with strong interpreting skills.Ability to remain calm and focused during high-pressure situations.Willingness to adhere to a professional code of ethics.Punctuality and reliability.Willingness to complete or previous completion of a minimum interpreter-training program.(Equivalent examples:The Community Interpreter, Bridging the Gap).Ability to use the Interpreter Scheduling System and enter data accurately.What We Offer Flexible scheduling:You choose when and where to work by accepting assignments based on your availability.Competitive hourly pay based on your qualifications and experience.Professional growth opportunities:Access to training and resources to enhance your interpreting skills.Job Types:Contract, Freelance Pay:$25.00 - $35.00 per hour Benefits:Flexible schedule Professional development assistance Language:Spanish & English (Required) License/Certification:40- Hour interpreter course completion?
