Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A fulfilling contract opportunity awaits a dedicated Special Education Teacher interested in supporting high school students (grades 9–12) during the 2026–27 academic year. This position offers an engaging schedule of 35 hours per week, running from August 17, 2026, through May 28, 2027, with daily hours from 7:45 AM to 3:30 PM at a single school building. You’ll play a vital role in both direct instruction and classroom inclusion, fostering student achievement and personal growth. Key Responsibilities Deliver specialized instruction to students receiving special education services Teach one categorical special education class for high school grades Co-teach in general education classrooms, supporting inclusive learning experiences Implement and monitor Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and accommodations Collaborate with colleagues, families, and related service providers to optimize student support Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring for each student Actively participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration Utilize a daily 85-minute prep period for planning, documentation, and collaboration Qualifications & Skills Hold active Special Education teaching certification/licensure Experience with high school students is preferred Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration abilities Proficiency in addressing a range of learning needs and behavioral supports Commitment to fostering inclusive classroom environments Immerse yourself in a professional and supportive school culture where your expertise truly matters.
