Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for the 2025-2026 school year in Norwalk, CT. This role supports a 3rd grade co-taught classroom within a public school setting, offering an excellent opportunity to apply specialized skills in a collaborative educational environment. Key Responsibilities Deliver individualized instruction and support to students with special needs Collaborate closely with general education teachers to co-teach and differentiate lessons Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with parents, staff, and administration Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student growth and success Qualifications Current Connecticut Special Education teaching certification (New York certifications are not accepted) Prior experience working in a school setting as a Special Education Teacher Strong understanding of special education laws, procedures, and best practices Ability to work effectively in a co-teaching environment Excellent communication and organizational skills Location and Schedule: Position based in Norwalk, Connecticut Full time, 32.5 to 35 hours per week Contract runs from ASAP through June 2026 This role is ideal for a dedicated, certified special education professional ready to make a meaningful impact on students' academic and social development in a supportive school community.
