Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Occupational Therapist, where you will play a vital role in enhancing patients' independence and quality of life through personalized therapeutic interventions. You will assess, plan, and implement treatment strategies across diverse settings, including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, schools, and home health environments. Duties Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine patients’ functional abilities and needs across various settings such as hospitals, clinics, schools, and community programs Develop individualized care plans focusing on assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, sensory processing, and other occupational goals Implement therapeutic interventions tailored to specific populations including children with autism, patients recovering from acute care or ICU stays, and individuals with disabilities or neurological conditions Assist patients with discharge planning by coordinating services and providing recommendations for ongoing therapy or support at home or in community settings Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams— including speech therapists, physiotherapists, physicians, educators, and case managers— to ensure cohesive patient care Educate patients and families on adaptive techniques, equipment use, and strategies to promote independence Maintain detailed documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and case management records in compliance with healthcare regulations Skills Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and clinical assessment techniques Experience working with diverse populations such as pediatrics (including early intervention and school-based therapy), geriatrics, and individuals with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder Proficiency in developing and managing care plans tailored to individual needs across inpatient, outpatient, skilled nursing facilities, post-acute care, home health, and outpatient clinics Skilled in assisting with ADLs such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility training Ability to perform discharge planning effectively by coordinating community resources and ongoing therapy services Familiarity with inpatient hospital environments including ICU experience and acute care protocols Knowledge of occupational health practices within workplace settings for injury prevention and rehabilitation Experience in case management roles ensuring seamless patient transitions between care levels Understanding of speech therapy integration when applicable for comprehensive patient support Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams Embark on a fulfilling career where your expertise directly impacts individuals’ lives!
