Position Title: Special Education Teachers School Year: 2026–2027 Location: Lancaster County School District, South Carolina Schedule: Full-time 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (30 minute unpaid lunch) 37.5 hours/week Start Date: August 3, 2026 End Date: June 1, 2027 Pay Rate : $45-50/hr on W-2 Position Overview A school district in Lancaster County, South Carolina is seeking multiple Special Education Teachers for the 2026–2027 school year. These positions support students in elementary and middle school settings across resource, co-teaching, and self-contained instructional models. Teachers will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide specialized instruction aligned with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Assignment Details Elementary and Middle School Settings Resource, Co-Teaching and Self Contained Classrooms available Key Responsibilities Provide specialized academic instruction aligned with IEP goals Implement evidence-based instructional strategies in inclusive and self-contained settings Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and school administrators Monitor student progress, maintain documentation, and participate in IEP meetings Support positive behavior interventions and inclusive learning environments Qualifications Active South Carolina Special Education Certification in Multi-Categorical (Other applicable certifications may be considered, including ED, MD, EMD, or TMD) Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university Prior school-based special education experience preferred Strong classroom management, collaboration, and documentation skills Compensation & Benefits Pay Rate: $45.00 – $50.00+ per hour (W-2), based on experience.
