Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate In School Setss providers to join our team, providing essential therapy services to students within educational settings. This role involves developing and implementing individualized care plans, collaborating with school staff and families, and delivering high-quality patient care to children across various age groups. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of pediatrics, physiology, and anatomy, along with experience in outpatient, inpatient, or home health environments. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' health and educational success. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' physical abilities and develop tailored therapy plans to support their educational participation. Implement physiotherapy interventions including trigger point therapy, orthopedics, and other modalities to improve mobility, strength, and function. Coordinate discharge planning and transition strategies for students moving between school-based services and other healthcare settings. Monitor progress through documentation in EMR systems and adjust treatment plans accordingly. Collaborate with teachers, parents, healthcare providers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care. Provide education on physiotherapy techniques, injury prevention, and activity modifications suitable for pediatric patients. Assist with acute care needs when necessary and participate in emergency response protocols within the school environment. Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and school policies related to patient care and safety. Requirements Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist with current credentials. Proven experience in pediatrics, outpatient clinics, hospital inpatient units, home health, or geriatrics is highly desirable. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, care plans, discharge planning, and trigger point therapy. Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation and patient tracking. Strong understanding of inpatient, outpatient, clinic experience, orthopedics, geriatrics, and home & community care practices. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to work effectively within a school setting. Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including educators and healthcare professionals. Experience working with children with diverse needs is preferred but not required. This role is vital in supporting students' health needs within their educational environment through expert physiotherapy services that promote mobility, independence, and overall well-being.
