Job Summary The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) plays a critical role in providing immediate medical care to patients in emergency situations. EMTs are responsible for assessing patient conditions, administering basic life support, and transporting patients to hospitals or urgent care facilities. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, teamwork, and the ability to respond effectively in high-pressure environments. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine the nature and extent of injuries or illnesses. Administer basic life support measures, including CPR and first aid. Perform physical examinations to evaluate patient conditions. Assist with venipuncture as needed . Triage patients based on severity of conditions to prioritize treatment. monitoring their vital signs. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals during critical care transport situations. Maintain accurate records of patient care and treatment provided during emergencies. Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and ready for use at all times. Skills Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to emergency medical care. Proficiency in patient assessment techniques and triage protocols. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when assisting patients or moving equipment. Experience in urgent care settings is a plus but not required. Familiarity with critical care transport procedures is advantageous. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions in emergency situations. This role is essential for ensuring the safety and well-being of patients during emergencies, requiring both technical skills and compassionate patient interaction.
