Job Summary and Qualifications The Staff Technologist in Special Procedures will assume the responsibility in assisting with all examinations performed within the Special Procedures Room. They will be proficient at radiographic examination which requires thorough knowledge of positioning techniques, technical factors and anatomical factors. The technologist will assist radiologist and other physicians with procedures as required while maintaining a good relationship with them and other staff members. What you will do in this role: Responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards of electric shock, burns and extraneous radiation to patients. Responsible for safe handling of equipment and films. Assesses patient's understanding of process and informed consent of invasive procedures. Assesses, evaluates and informs physician of changes in patient's condition during exam. Selects appropriate equipment to use for procedure. Determines most suitable anatomical posture and positions and shields patients accordingly.
