Job Summary: Our client is seeking a Specialized Wireless Engineer to join their team! This position is located in Greenwood Village, Colorado. Duties: Design and develop AAA policies and backend systems for Wi-Fi offload environments Build and manage high-performance databases to support authentication, session tracking, and accounting Implement secure SIM-based authentication using EAP-SIM and EAP-AKA protocols Configure and support Hotspot 2.0 (Passpoint) for seamless roaming between cellular and Wi-Fi networks Ensure interoperability using OpenRoaming and Wireless Broadband Alliance (WBA) standards Develop solutions to support high transaction volumes (high TPS) with low latency Manage IP address allocation systems including DHCP, DNS, and IPAM Implement and maintain secure communication protocols such as: IPsec, TLS/RADSEC and certificate management Design and support tunneling solutions such as: EoGRE and IPsec, for traffic routing Work with carrier-grade AAA platforms and support testing and simulation efforts Desired Skills/Experience: Strong experience developing AAA (Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting) systems in carrier-grade environments Deep expertise with RADIUS protocol Hands-on experience with EAP-SIM (RFC 4186) and EAP-AKA (RFC 4187) Experience with Hotspot 2.0 / Passpoint and Wi-Fi roaming technologies Familiarity with OpenRoaming and Wireless Broadband Alliance (WBA) standards Strong database experience: SQL ( MySQL, including Master/Slave architectures); NoSQL databases Experience designing systems for high TPS and low-latency performance Knowledge of DHCP, DNS, and IPAM solutions Proficiency in security protocols including IPsec, TLS/RADSEC, and certificate management Experience with tunneling technologies such as EoGRE or IPsec Hands-on experience with AAA platforms such as Nokia AAA or FreeRADIUS Experience with network simulation/testing tools such as: Spirent, Ixia and Calnex Benefits: Medical, Dental, & Vision Insurance Plans Employee-Owned Profit Sharing (ESOP) 401K offered The approximate pay range for this position starting at $117,000 - $137,000 . Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location.
