The Role You will get to experience the joy of being in veterinary medicine once again! You will be part of a specialty team managing ophthalmology, neurology, and surgical cases (orthopedic, soft tissue, and surgical oncology) in a structured, non-ER environment. While each specialty department will have designated roles, we want you to be a team player involved in all aspects of care, including: Initial consultations and history taking Patient pre-op preparation, including running bloodwork and taking radiographs Patient sedation and anesthesia induction and monitoring Scrubbing in to surgeries to assist our specialists Client communication and admitting/discharging patients What makes this role different 1. No walk-in ER department Without an emergency department, our team dedicates every resource to exceptional specialty medicine. This allows more focused patient dedication and enhances the quality of care we can provide. 2. Dedicated critical care specialist for training and case support We have a board-certified criticalist dedicated to elevating the level of medicine in our hospital. She acts as a hospitalist and provides ongoing, hands-on training in anesthesia, patient management, and clinical decision-making. 3. Profit sharing (quarterly) All support staff are eligible to be part of our profit sharing program. No on call schedule Because we do not have an ER department, we do not run a traditional on-call program. We use a modified “stay late” approach as needed for case completion—so you can plan your life outside of work.
