Job Description
LifePoint Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team, dedicated to making communities healthier through high-quality care in a non-urban hospital setting. In this role, you will provide evaluation and treatment services for patients across the lifespan who present with speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders, supporting both inpatient and outpatient populations as needed. You will conduct thorough assessments, develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans, and deliver direct therapy that is aligned with each patient’s functional goals and medical needs. Working within LifePoint Health’s collaborative, patient-focused culture, you will partner closely with physicians, nurses, rehabilitation therapists, case managers, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to coordinate holistic, patient-centered care and contribute to broader community health initiatives. A key aspect of this position includes educating patients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies, home exercise programs, and safe swallowing techniques to promote long-term success and reduce hospital readmissions. You will be responsible for timely and accurate documentation of evaluations, treatment sessions, progress, and discharge planning in the electronic medical record, in accordance with hospital policies, payor requirements, and professional standards. As a member of a dynamic and supportive clinical team, you will have the opportunity to participate in quality improvement projects, assist with program development, and help strengthen LifePoint Health’s rehabilitation services in the communities we serve. This position is well-suited for a Speech-Language Pathologist who values collaboration, professional growth, and meaningful impact on patient lives in a community-based healthcare environment.
