Job Description
The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) evaluates, diagnoses, and treats residents with speech, language, voice, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. They conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans to enhance communication and safety. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, educate residents and families, and participate in care planning. Maintain accurate documentation ensuring regulatory compliance. Qualifications include a Master’s degree, current licensure, and preferably experience in skilled nursing or rehab settings. The role involves direct patient care in a facility environment, requiring physical activity, adherence to safety protocols, and strong communication skills. Work hours are dependent on clinical needs, with a focus on improving residents’ functional outcomes.
