Job Description
Empower Communication Across the Lifespan in the Sunshine State - Join Us as a Speech Language Pathologist Overview Imagine a career that gives voice to purpose - quite literally! As a Speech Language Pathologist in one of Florida's most inviting cities, your role will extend beyond simply addressing communication and swallowing disorders. You will unlock potential, restore confidence, and foster meaningful connections - from young children exploring their first words to older adults regaining their self-sufficiency. This position offers a rare chance to cater to a diverse clientele across all age groups, combining outpatient therapy with occasional inpatient services. Whether your passion lies in nurturing pediatric language skills, tackling adult neurogenic disorders, or focusing on geriatric cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation, you'll discover both fulfillment and flexibility here. Role Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments of patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized tools and observational methods. Create tailored treatment plans that target immediate objectives while considering long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements. Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions emphasizing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities. Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to develop comprehensive care strategies. Educate patients and their families to support continued progress outside of therapeutic sessions. Occasionally participate in inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring a seamless transition and continuity of care. Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational policies.
