Job Description
Transform Lives with Communication - Become a Speech Language Pathologist in Beautiful San Jose, California Overview Imagine a career where your skills as a Speech Language Pathologist empower individuals to express themselves and connect with those around them. In the vibrant landscape of San Jose, your expertise will not only address communication and swallowing issues but also foster identities, rebuild confidence, and establish connections across generations - helping toddlers articulate their first words while supporting seniors in overcoming language barriers. This position offers an exceptional chance to engage with a diverse clientele in an innovative environment that combines outpatient therapy with select inpatient care. Whether your passion lies in nurturing early language acquisition, addressing adult language disorders stemming from neurological conditions, or guiding geriatric patients through cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation, you will discover deep satisfaction and a supportive atmosphere here. Description Assess patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations using both standardized and observational assessment tools. Create individualized therapy plans tailored to meet each patient's short- and long-term communication and swallowing objectives. Deliver one-on-one speech therapy interventions with a focus on communication, language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques. Collaborate closely with a multi-disciplinary team of physical and occupational therapists, nurses, medical doctors, families, and caregivers to forge a unified approach to care. Educate patients and their families to encourage supportive practices at home that promote therapeutic progress. Conduct occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions to ensure a seamless continuum of care throughout recovery.
