Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs, focusing on early intervention when appropriate. Deliver engaging speech therapy sessions for pediatric patients, utilizing evidence-based techniques to promote communication development. Collaborate with educators, healthcare providers, and families to coordinate care strategies and ensure consistent support for patients. Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting therapy approaches as needed to optimize outcomes. Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with regulatory standards. Educate patients and their families about speech and language development, therapy techniques, and strategies for ongoing support. Requirements Valid licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the relevant jurisdiction. Prior experience working with adult and Geriatric population Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques tailored for Geriatric and adults. Familiarity with physiology and anatomy related to speech production and swallowing functions. Ability to perform detailed patient assessments using appropriate medical terminology. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and educate families.
