Speech Therapist- Home Health Location: Newport Beach, CA Worksite: Supporting Hoag Home Health Address: 4041 MacArthur Blvd, Suite 100, Newport Beach, CA 92660 Pay: $84.00 per hour Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM Hours: 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day Contract Length: 13 weeks Setting: Home Health / Geriatric Patient Care Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist / Speech Therapist to provide home health speech therapy services to patients in the Newport Beach, CA area. The Speech Therapist will assess patients for speech-related therapy needs, establish treatment goals, develop treatment plans, and implement appropriate speech pathology interventions. Key Responsibilities Assess patients for speech therapy needs and functional limitations. Review medical history and apply appropriate screening tests. Establish individualized treatment goals and plans of care. Collaborate with patients and families regarding therapy intensity, duration, goals, and discharge recommendations. Required Qualifications Minimum of 18 months of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Current Speech-Language Pathologist license in the State of California . Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association . Home health experience required/preferred. Geriatric patient care experience required. Experience and knowledge in a wide range of diagnoses, including: General medicine Orthopedics Neurology Cardiopulmonary conditions Gastroenterology Otolaryngology Preferred Experience Prior home health experience. Experience working with geriatric patients in a home-based care setting. Experience supporting interdisciplinary care teams. Work Environment This position supports Hoag Home Health . The Speech Therapist will travel to patients’ homes to provide care. Equipment will be provided by Hoag and picked up from the facility.
