Description Assess patients from pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics implementing standardized assessments and observational techniques. Create tailored treatment plans that cater to immediate goals while addressing longer-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives. Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions emphasizing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills. Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and family members to establish cohesive care strategies. Provide education to patients and families to facilitate progress beyond clinical settings. Undertake occasional evaluations and interventions in the inpatient speech therapy realm, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
