Walmart Sporting Goods Associate - Job Description The Sporting Goods Associate is responsible for delivering excellent customer service while maintaining the Sporting Goods department.This role supports customers with product selection, ensures merchandise is stocked and organized, and helps create a safe and engaging shopping environment.Key Responsibilities:Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service and assist customers in selecting sporting goods products Stock, zone, and maintain merchandise displays to ensure a clean and organized department Monitor inventory levels and assist with replenishment Operate equipment and tools safely, including handling items such as fishing gear, bicycles, and outdoor equipment Follow company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and compliance Assist with price changes, signing, and seasonal merchandise transitions Work collaboratively with team members to meet sales and customer satisfaction goals Qualifications:Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Basic knowledge or interest in sporting goods and outdoor activities preferred Ability to lift, carry, and move merchandise (up to 50 lbs as needed) Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Pay:From $14.00 per hour Benefits:401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee discount Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location:In person.
