Here's a summary of responsibilities: Under the supervision and direction of the Director, Sports Medicine Research, the Associate Research Scientist will execute studies to support sports medicine research initiatives within the USOPC. The Associate Research Scientist will be responsible for collecting and evaluating participant data, analyzing research results, and synthesizing findings into deliverables and/or strategies for use by USOPC Sports Medicine for elite athlete populations. The Associate Research Scientist will also help design, develop and implement creative and impactful research studies focused on injury and illness prevention in sport. The Associate Research Scientist will also participate in educational, research, and other activities related to sports medicine. The Associate Research Scientist will be expected to provide exceptional customer support to internal and external customers ensuring optimal health and wellness for Team USA. Here’s how you’ll have an impact: Organize and execute clinical research programs (e.g., injury and illness epidemiology research, injury and illness prevention programs, sport science research programs, technology assessments, data analysis for outcome predictions).
