Job Role: Squadron Scheduling Specialist, Senior I City / State / Region: Multiple Locations: Andrews AFB, MD; MacDill AFB, Tampa, FL; Scott AFB, IL; Travis AFB, Fairfield, CA; Dyess AFB, Abilene TX; Birmingham, AL; Joint Base Charleston, SC; Dover AFB, DE; Fairchild AFB, WA; Little Rock AFB, Jacksonville, AR; March ARB, Riverside, CA; McChord AFB, Tacoma, WA; McConnell AFB, Wichita, KS; McGuire AFB, NJ Location: On-Site Only , Telework As Approved by COR Travel: None Job Type: Full-Time Clearance: Tier 3 Security Investigation with SECRET eligibility and enrollment in Continuous Vetting required, active SECRET clearance preferred Salary Range: $65,000 - $125000 Job Posting Estimated Close Date: 09/01/2026 Overview: INTECON, LLC is seeking a Squadron Scheduling Specialist to support Air Mobility Command (AMC) flying squadrons by building and maintaining flight schedules, tracking training and availability constraints, coordinating with squadron leadership and support offices, and producing required scheduling-related reports and authorizations. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate with the training officer, training non-commissioned officer (NCO), squadron aviation resource management (SARM) specialist, Unit Deployment Manager (UDM), and Operations Officer (DO) to arrange a schedule to facilitate operations, qualification, upgrade, test, exercises, and continuation training accomplishment to meet required currency and progression standards, IAW DO priorities. Build long- and short-range shift schedules to ensure full coverage of all aircrew, instructor, evaluator, support personnel, and supervisor positions. Coordinate with senior squadron leadership on a daily and weekly basis. Coordinate with simulator contractors as required for simulator events. Track crewmember leave, temporary duty, scheduled medical appointments or other scheduling commitments. De-conflict crewmember schedules and coordinate with flight leadership to ensure crew members are available to meet assigned sortie taskings. Track daily flight/ground/academic training requirements and accomplishments to facilitate accurate flight scheduling in support of the operations officer. Schedule aircrew based on experience to mitigate Operational Risk Management (ORM) as detailed in AMCI 90-903, Aviation ORM. Schedule IAW guidance as outlined by Stan/Eval in conjunction with applicable aircraft manuals, appropriate supplements, and the Go-No/Go Process Guide. Report updates to squadron leadership. Facilitate last-minute schedule changes to ensure full coverage by working with the current mission commander/operations supervisor (or equivalent) and flight responsible for the shift that is not fully manned. Publish/post scheduling data for unit long-/short-range ground/academic, flying, and simulator training event schedules on computer database systems. Comply with Ops Group and Wing Current Operations (OSO), and Group Training (OST) locally developed guidance when building the schedule. Perform daily updates of scheduling data to compensate for changing conditions and training completion rates. Coordinate with OSO, OST, outside agencies/exercise participants and higher headquarters, for example: RED FLAG, GREEN FLAG, Mobility Guardian, Weapons School support, for reporting and to facilitate exercise and special event schedules. Provide inputs to Wing Scheduling/Current Operations through attendance at weekly meetings for schedule coordination and de-confliction. Produce Flight Authorizations which have cleared the Group Stan/Eval Go-No/Go process. Update Load Tracker for the next week's schedule according to schedule dictated by squadron. Produce weekly Flying Hour Effectiveness Report. This report will be developed and produced IAW local policy and procedures and reflect accomplishment of required training events as determined by local leadership. Produce weekly Flying Hour Program Report. This report will be developed and produced IAW local policy and procedures and derived from the AFTO 781 and other sources used to track hours expended to reflect accomplishment of assigned flying hours. Provide the squadron-assigned security manager a weekly list of DISS requirements to generate DISS letters as required for training missions. Coordinate with Aerial Delivery, Training, Loadmaster Scheduler, and Wing Scheduling/Current Operations to ensure appropriate training loads are assigned to each line on the schedule.
