Job Description
The Senior Academic Services Specialist is responsible for the full administrative coordination of one or more academic programs, such as Residency, Academic, Fellowship, Education or Credentialing; as well as providing a high level of administrative support. Designs, implements, and evaluates recruitment plans as needed. Requires working knowledge of institution policies, practices and procedures. Performs special projects of a highly skilled nature. Exercises considerable discretion and independent judgment. Works directly with Department Chair, Administrator, and related staff in other organizations. EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and or equivalent combination of education and experience Five years or more years of administration of a program, preferably in higher education or healthcare setting Accurate typing and data entry skills Excellent organization and communication (oral and written) Demonstrated proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite and software used by the department Total Rewards The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of University of Maryland’s Faculty Physician’s Inc. salary range for this position. Some candidates will not be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate’s geographical location, skills, work experience, market conditions, internal equity, responsibility factor and span of control, education/ training and other qualifications.
