About the Role We are looking for a highly experienced and business-minded attorney to join our global legal team as Sr. Counsel, Employment . This role will serve as the company’s primary subject matter expert on employment law across the United States and Europe, while also playing a key role in shaping broader workforce compliance strategies. Reporting to the Head - Employment Law & Legal Compliance, this individual will act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, HR, and People Operations teams. In this role, you will help guide the company through complex employment matters while building scalable frameworks that support rapid international growth. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and enjoys translating legal complexity into clear, practical guidance for the business. Key Responsibilities Serve as the lead advisor on U.S. employment law matters, including hiring, performance management, employee relations, investigations, discipline, and terminations Provide strategic guidance on employment issues across Europe, partnering with local counsel and internal stakeholders to navigate jurisdiction-specific requirements Collaborate closely with HR and People teams to design, implement, and refine employment policies, processes, and best practices Review, draft, and negotiate employment-related agreements, including offer letters, employment agreements, separation agreements, and contractor arrangements Advise on employment considerations related to global expansion, including entering new markets and scaling distributed teams Lead or support internal investigations and sensitive employee relations matters with sound judgment and discretion Monitor and interpret changes in employment laws and regulations, translating them into actionable guidance for the business Build and enhance scalable compliance frameworks that support a growing global workforce Partner cross-functionally with Legal, Compliance, and business leaders to ensure consistent and risk-aligned decision-making Contribute to broader legal and compliance initiatives that impact workforce strategy and operations About You J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction 6+ years of legal experience with a strong focus on employment law Deep expertise in U.S. federal and state employment laws, with the ability to apply them in a fast-moving business environment Demonstrated experience advising HR and leadership teams on complex, day-to-day employment matters Experience working across multiple jurisdictions or managing international employment issues Strong business judgment with the ability to provide clear, pragmatic, and solution-oriented advice Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels Ability to operate independently while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting employment law matters in Europe In-house experience at a high-growth or global technology or media company You can get more updates, insights and everything behind the scenes at Pocket FM here - https://xtra.pocketfm.com/
