Senior Data Analyst (NLP / Advanced Analytics) Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst with a strong background in data analytics, natural language processing (NLP), and advanced analytics to join our team. This role will be responsible for driving data-driven decision-making, developing sophisticated analytical models, and delivering high-impact insights to stakeholders across the organization. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong business acumen and excellent communication skills, enabling them to translate complex data into actionable recommendations for executive audiences. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement advanced analytics and machine learning models, including NLP-based solutions, to solve complex business problems Analyze structured and unstructured data to uncover insights, trends, and opportunities Build and maintain data pipelines, queries, and analytical datasets using SQL and Python/R Develop and deliver interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools Translate business questions into analytical frameworks and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders Support and enhance enterprise reporting and data governance initiatives, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and usability of data assets Perform data quality assessments, validation, and monitoring to maintain integrity across systems Collaborate cross-functionally with business, technical, and leadership teams to align analytics with organizational goals Present insights and recommendations to senior and executive leadership in a concise, compelling manner Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or related field (Master’s preferred) 5+ years of experience in data analytics or data science roles Hands-on experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques and tools Proven experience in machine learning and advanced analytics (e.g., classification, clustering, predictive modeling) Strong proficiency in: SQL, Python and/or R, Data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) Experience working with large, complex datasets across multiple data sources Strong knowledge of data quality, data governance, and enterprise reporting frameworks Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting VA (Department of Veterans Affairs) or federal healthcare environments Familiarity with healthcare data, including operational, clinical, or administrative datasets Experience working with: ServiceNow Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) Experience navigating complex, matrixed organizations Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with executive stakeholders and influence decision-making What We’re Looking For: A data-driven professional who can bridge the gap between technical analysis and business impact Someone comfortable working with both structured and unstructured data, especially text-based datasets A proactive problem-solver who thrives in complex and evolving environments A collaborative team player with a strong sense of ownership and accountability Why Join Us: Opportunity to work on high-impact, mission-driven analytics initiatives Exposure to cutting-edge NLP and machine learning applications Collaborative environment with access to advanced tools and technologies Ability to influence strategic decisions at the highest levels About Synensys LLC Synensys was founded to address safety and quality gaps in high-risk industries such as Healthcare, Aviation, and Defense.
