Company Overview Established leader in the heavy civil construction industry Strong presence in regional infrastructure and site development projects Committed to employee growth, stability, and long-term career development Collaborative team environment with a focus on quality and execution Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary (based on experience) 401(k) with company match Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Paid Time Off (PTO) Performance-based bonus potential Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates by analyzing drawings, specifications, and bid documents Perform quantity takeoffs for labor, materials, and equipment using software and manual methods Solicit, evaluate, and manage subcontractor and vendor quotations Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors Collaborate with Project Management and Engineering teams to support bid development and project execution Respond to RFIs and provide clarification on scope and estimates Manage multiple bids simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines Perform additional duties as required to support estimating and preconstruction efforts Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred Equivalent industry experience will be considered in lieu of a degree Experience & Skills Minimum 7+ years of estimating experience in heavy civil construction Strong experience with takeoffs, particularly in highways and large-scale infrastructure projects High level of accuracy and attention to detail Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines Excellent communication and team collaboration skills Experience building and maintaining vendor/subcontractor relationships Familiarity with estimating software (experience with HCSS HeavyBid is a plus) Work Schedule Full-time, Monday through Friday On-site role based in Chagrin Falls, OH
