Maximus is currently hiring for a Senior Project Manager - PMO supporting Veterans Evaluation Services (VES). This is a remote opportunity. In this role, you will lead complex, enterprise-level initiatives from planning through execution, ensuring delivery aligns with organizational priorities, customer expectations, and operational commitments. VES partners with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to provide high-quality, timely, and accurate medical disability examinations to Veterans and transitioning service members in a respectful and veteran-centric environment. The Senior Project Manager will facilitate project planning activities, manage scope, schedules, risks, and issues, and deliver clear status reporting to stakeholders while driving continuous improvement across services and processes. This role also supports project governance and ensures adherence to established policies, processes, and procedures, while collaborating cross-functionally with business leaders, technical teams, and PMO stakeholders to resolve challenges, support informed decision-making, and deliver measurable outcomes that advance program and customer goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Facilitate and prepare all planning activities and artifacts for complex initiatives including project scope statements, work breakdown structure, and detailed project schedule. Monitor schedule progress, and implement corrective measures as needed. Monitor and facilitate the tracking and resolution of issues and decisions impacting the project. Develop and monitor risk plans to ensure mitigation strategies are in place and being executed. Prepare and deliver project status information to stakeholders.
