Job Description
We are searching for a Senior Recruiter - someone that works well in a fast-paced setting. The Senior Recruiter serves as a strategic talent acquisition consultant, leading senior-level recruitment efforts across assigned, high-impact and/or complex client groups. This role partners closely with senior leaders and complex business functions to understand workforce needs, design targeted recruiting strategies, and provide informed guidance and recommendations related to hiring decisions. The Senior Recruiter applies independent judgment, market expertise, and data-driven insights to assess talent, manage high-impact searches, and deliver a high-quality candidate and stakeholder experience. This role leverages recruiting technology, ensures compliance with employment practices, and contributes to workforce planning and talent initiatives that support organizational priorities and long-term business outcomes. The Senior Recruiter also supports and guides other team members by sharing expertise and best practices to enable efficient, consistent recruiting processes. Duties & Responsibilities Serves as a subject matter expert, sharing knowledge of healthcare recruiting trends, sourcing strategies, and best practices across the team Acts as an escalation resource, offering consultative support and solutions while coaching team members through resolution Partner proactively with leaders to assess current and future talent needs, align on hiring priorities, and develop targeted recruitment strategies. Facilitate regular check‑ins with hiring leaders to review hiring progress, discuss challenges, and adjust recruiting approaches based on business needs and market conditions. Exercise independent judgment in the use of Voyager and related recruitment technologies to effectively manage, prioritize, and execute recruitment activities for assigned client groups. Maintain ongoing visibility into requisition and candidate pipelines, assessing workflow status, risks, and bottlenecks, and taking proactive action to ensure timely hiring outcomes. Ensure recruiting activity is accurately documented in Voyager to support compliance, reporting, downstream onboarding processes, and organizational decision‑making. Develop and manage multi‑channel job advertising and posting strategies that align with workforce priorities, labor market conditions, and hiring demand for assigned client groups. Regularly evaluate open requisitions and candidate flow to assess the effectiveness of advertising and sourcing strategies, adjusting approach as needed to optimize reach and results. Serve as a professional ambassador for Texas Children’s at recruiting events, career fairs, and external talent forums, promoting the organization’s mission, culture, and employment value proposition. Assess and identify qualified candidates through resume review, screening, and evaluation of skills, experience, and alignment with current and anticipated role requirements. Partner with hiring leaders and Human Resources colleagues to evaluate finalist readiness and ensure all pre‑employment requirements are identified and addressed. Oversee pre‑employment review activities, including background checks and verification of relevant work history, education, and licensure, and provide guidance to leaders regarding any findings or follow‑up considerations. Actively contribute to Human Resources, departmental, and cross‑functional teams or committees that advance organizational initiatives, improve processes, and support quality and performance outcomes. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree 3 years of required experience in professional recruiting experience within a Human Resources or Talent Acquisition function Hospital or Healthcare experience highly preferred
