Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for a long-term contract with our direct Federal government client; this role is onsite daily in Washington, DC. Pay rate range: $60-$65hr w2 System Admin.: Manage and maintain Linux-based high-performance computing servers. Perform routine system updates, patches, and security configurations. Monitor system performance and optimize resources to ensure high availability and efficiency. Provide Tier 3 support for the Analytics Platform, addressing complex technical issues and ensuring minimal downtime. Collaborate with business lines to understand their analytical requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Implement and maintain security protocols to protect sensitive data and comply with regulatory requirements. Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments. Participate in projects aimed at enhancing the platform's capabilities, including upgrades, new feature implementations, and performance improvements. Contribute to the design and architecture of the platform in collaboration with the systems engineering team. Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours support for critical issues and ensure the platform's continuous operation. Qualifications: Strong understanding of Linux operating systems, shell scripting, and system administration tools. In-depth knowledge and experience using Ansible and Ansible Automation Platform.
