We are looking for additional part-time staff with horse care and facility care experience for our team, particularly for Sunday.Candidates need to have a driver's license, be at least 17 years old and capable of driving a tractor, and should expect to fill out our application and do a working interview where we will assess your current knowledge and ability regarding working around and with horses, feeding, cleaning stalls, grooming, tacking and un-tacking, tack cleaning, driving a tractor (we do not use wheel barrows), tractor maintenance, pasture maintenance, and facility maintenance.We are educators, and have been a training facility for veterinary assistants, vet techs, veterinarians, and young farmers for many years.Whimsy Brook Farm, Ltd.is 55-year-old, fully modern, equine teaching and training facility designated by the State of Connecticut as a Horse Farm of Environmental Distinction.We sell organic compost and provide boarding, training, alternative equine rehab therapies, instruction in riding and horse science, and equine assisted psychotherapy.We are associated with an animal hospital.Job Types:Part-time, Contract Pay:$18.00 - $22.00 per hour Benefits:Flexible schedule Professional development assistance Application Question(s):Do you have experience with routine stable duties like cleaning stalls, grooming horses, and tacking horses up?
