Staff Accountant

Fast growing local CPA firm is currently seeking a Staff Accountant. In this role, you are responsible for a variety of tasks including preparing tax returns, bookkeeping, payroll and financial statements preparation. Applicants should have a bachelor's or master's degree, CPA (or planning to sit for exam). Duties and Responsibilities · Prepare tax returns on behalf of clients · Compile supporting financial statements and documents · Assist with federal and state tax audits · Perform tax research, staying up to date on changes · Bookkeeping (QuickBooks mainly) · Payroll entry and payroll tax returns · Financial statement preparation Requirements and Qualifications · Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field · Master's degree a plus · CPA license or exam eligibility preferred · Attention to detail Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $100,000.00 per year Benefits 401(k) 401(k) matching Flexible schedule Paid time off Physical Setting: Office Experience: Public accounting: 5 years (Required) Work Location: In person
