Minimum Qualifications: Three years of secretarial or clerical work experience. Preferred Qualifications: Preference may be given to those with state purchasing experience. Requirements: Employment in this position is contingent upon a satisfactory Level 1 background check at no cost to the candidate. Position Overview and Responsibilities: This position will serve as a staff assistant for the Division of Freshwater Fisheries Management. Responsibilities include the following: Assists with answering agency phone lines, courteously assists Commission constituents to resolve questions relating to the Commission, its programs or fish and wildlife conservation issues. Processes invoices, purchase order requests, purchasing card and contractual payments Serve as the travel liaison for the division, and trip form preparer Responds to public records requests and work cooperatively with other staff in the division to provide the requested information Maintains calendars, schedules meetings and makes travel arrangements for regional fisheries staff. Assists with completing and filing monthly equipment use reports and vehicle logs. Efficient with Microsoft Office products. Operates printers, copiers; maintains adequate office supplies, agency forms, literature and informational materials necessary to ensure continuity in office operations. Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge in using Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe Pro Possess good customer service, telephone and clerical skills Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
