Location: Remote About the Opportunity Join a pioneering financial technology firm dedicated to modernizing asset management through secure, programmable infrastructure. We are seeking a high-caliber Senior Engineer to architect robust backend systems that bridge the gap between institutional finance and decentralized protocols, driving the next evolution of digital asset ownership. Responsibilities Architect Financial Infrastructure: Design and implement scalable backend services that facilitate seamless interactions between distributed ledger technology and legacy financial frameworks. Systems Integration: Develop sophisticated APIs and secure integrations with premier institutional custody partners to ensure asset safety and liquidity. Internal Tooling: Lead the end-to-end development of internal registry and transfer agent systems to streamline asset lifecycle management. Infrastructure as Code: Drive the strategy for cloud infrastructure, ensuring all systems are reproducible, automated, and rigorously tested for high availability. Technical Leadership: Direct the planning and execution of long-term technical projects while mentoring junior and mid-level engineering staff. Collaborative Innovation: Work closely with a specialized team to solve complex problems at the intersection of fault-tolerant computing and regulated finance. Requirements (must-have) Extensive Engineering Background: Minimum of 9 years of professional software development experience in a production environment. Cloud Infrastructure Expertise: Advanced proficiency in building high-performance, fault-tolerant systems within AWS environments. Programming Mastery: Deep, professional-level experience with Rust for performance-critical systems. Data Management: Strong command of SQL, including advanced query optimization and database architecture. Web Services: Proven track record of building and maintaining high-traffic web applications and services. Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of the current decentralized finance (DeFi) landscape and blockchain primitives. Educational Foundation: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Preferred Qualifications (nice-to-have) Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Fargate, ECS). Exposure to secure computing environments, specifically AWS Nitro Enclaves. Experience with TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks. Practical knowledge of smart contract development (Solidity/Yul) or Solana-based programming. Understanding of Layer 2 scaling solutions and cross-chain messaging protocols.
