Situated within our Aerospace and Defense Technologies (ADTECH) division—an engineering center of excellence, this role is critical in supporting our mission to overcome some of our customers' toughest challenges. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of complex power and control systems for unique underwater robotic and electromechanical systems, primarily serving U.S. Navy and other Department of Defense clients. By joining our team, you will work on novel projects that promise new and exciting challenges every day, ensuring that your professional skills are continuously engaged and expanded. Duties and Responsibilities Lead the design and development of electrical and control systems as part of large-scale projects. Supervise, mentor, and lead teams of electrical engineers to achieve project goals. Translate high-level project requirements into detailed designs autonomously, with minimal supervision. Demonstrate creativity and technical excellence in every stage of problem-solving and system construction. Actively participate in regular design review meetings to ensure quality and adherence to specifications. Collaborate effectively with mechanical, software, and systems engineers to design and realize integrated, functional systems. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians where necessary. Maintain responsibility and accountability for personal and team results, operating with substantial autonomy. Engage in the hands-on assembly and testing of electrical systems, embodying our principle of “making it work”. Constantly seek opportunities to expand personal knowledge and skills in engineering and leadership. Requirements Bachelor of Science or advanced degree from an accredited university in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics Engineering, or a related field with an Electrical concentration. At least 10 years of practical, technical experience in electrical engineering, encompassing concept development, system design, analysis, simulation, integration, and testing. Ability to obtain and maintain a United States Government Department of Defense Security Clearance; active clearances are preferred but not required before employment. Must be a U.S. citizen to comply with government contractual obligations. Proven capability to lead and mentor a team, fostering a collaborative work environment. Outstanding technical judgment and attention to detail, with a systematic approach to problem-solving. Experience in designing control systems for automated or robotic systems is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to work well with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with various engineering disciplines. A readiness to handle unforeseen challenges with a proactive, problem-solving attitude. Keen interest in taking on increased responsibilities and growing within a globally recognized enterprise.
