Job Description
Satellite Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Staff Nurse to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team, delivering high-quality renal care to patients receiving dialysis treatment. As a key clinical member of our non-profit organization, you will provide direct nursing care to individuals with chronic kidney disease, focusing on safety, comfort, and education while supporting their overall quality of life. You will conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and closely monitor patients throughout hemodialysis and related treatments, ensuring accurate treatment parameters, vigilant observation of patient responses, and timely intervention when clinical changes occur. Working within a patient-centered, team-oriented environment, the Staff Nurse collaborates closely with nephrologists, dietitians, social workers, technicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate holistic care. You will provide ongoing education to patients and families on dialysis procedures, vascular access care, fluid and dietary management, medications, and self-management strategies, reinforcing understanding and promoting adherence. The role requires meticulous documentation in the electronic medical record, adherence to infection prevention and control practices, and consistent compliance with regulatory standards and Satellite Healthcare policies. The Staff Nurse is responsible for safe medication administration, evaluation and maintenance of vascular access, participation in pre-treatment and post-treatment assessments, and recognition and management of complications during dialysis sessions. You will contribute to interdisciplinary care conferences, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and support innovative approaches to renal care aligned with Satellite Healthcare’s commitment to research, education, and clinical excellence. In emergency situations, you will respond promptly, following established protocols and collaborating with the care team to stabilize patients. This position is well-suited for nurses who value integrity, teamwork, and continuous learning. You will work in a clinical dialysis setting, engaging directly with patients over time and building therapeutic relationships that support their long-term health journey. Satellite Healthcare offers a collaborative environment with opportunities for professional growth in nephrology nursing, exposure to advanced dialysis technologies and evidence-based practices, and the ability to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes every day. A strong clinical foundation, critical thinking skills, and a genuine commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care are essential for success in this role. Competitive compensation is complemented by a comprehensive benefits package that typically includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement savings options such as a 401k, and opportunities for ongoing training and development. Staff Nurses at Satellite Healthcare are encouraged to pursue specialty nephrology certifications and participate in educational programs that advance both individual careers and the broader field of kidney health.
