Deliver advanced, compassionate care for patients transitioning from critical care as a Registered Nurse in a stepdown unit. This contract position requires clinical expertise, adaptability, and a commitment to providing high-quality care in a dynamic environment supporting adult patients with complex needs. Schedule/Hours: Full-time contract position Shift details to be discussed during interview process Qualifications & Experience: Current and active RN license Minimum of one year of recent experience in a Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting BLS and ACLS certifications required Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills Proficiency in managing complex patient populations and monitoring hemodynamics Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team Key Responsibilities: Monitor and assess patient conditions post-ICU or surgery, ensuring timely interventions for any changes Administer medications, maintain IV lines, and provide wound care according to established protocols Recognize early signs of patient deterioration and communicate findings promptly to the healthcare team Collaborate with physicians and allied health professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans Educate patients and families about disease processes, treatment goals, and discharge instructions to promote positive outcomes Maintain accurate and timely patient records, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards Benefits & Perks: Supportive onboarding and access to clinical resources Opportunities to grow professional skills in a high-acuity setting Exposure to innovative technologies and evidence-based practices
