Job Summary $1500 Signing Bonus, if eligible; Full time Day; REQUIRES: Active CRCST, CER or CIS certification, 4 years' related work experience, 1 year supervisory experience, and CHL or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire Job Duties Supervises the operations and personnel of Central Sterile Supply. Maintains departmental compliance with regulatory agencies, including Joint Commission and Department of Health. Performs duties to support the goals and objectives of the Medical Center in its efforts to provide quality patient care and patient satisfaction. The care of the instrumentation used in the operating room, clinic, emergency department and elsewhere in the institution is the responsibility of the Sterile Processing department. Supervises the personnel and operations. Actively participates in the development of and demonstrates thorough knowledge of the department and system goals and function. Establishes internal inventory levels and maintains levels in accordance with set standards. Monitors these levels for proper utilization. Anticipates the availability of appropriate resource materials and personnel needed. Identifies, analyzes, interprets and acts on related problems within customer departments, as they pertain to Central Sterile Supply. Ensures established procedures and standards of practice are followed for decontamination, cleaning, inspection, processing and sterilization of reusable supplies and equipment. Provides instructions and in-service in new products, procedures, case cart preparation, and equipment. Maintains effective communication with appropriate nursing and medical center personnel, as relates to assigned duties. Oversees preparation and maintenance of the instrument asset inventory.
