Sterile Processing Technician (SPT)

Key Responsibilities Perform decontamination, cleaning, and sterilization of surgical instruments and GI equipment Operate washers and sterilization units efficiently Assemble and inspect instrument trays with accuracy and attention to detail Ensure compliance with infection control and sterilization standards Maintain proper workflow within the Sterile Processing Department (SPD) Work collaboratively with clinical teams to support procedural needs Requirements Minimum 2 years of Sterile Processing experience SPD Certification (CRCST/CBSPD) or CST certification (required) Experience in GI services/endoscopy workflow preferred Strong understanding of sterilization techniques and instrument handling Ability to work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment First-time travelers are accepted upon review Technology / Equipment Sterile Processing Management System (SPM) Why You Should Apply Structured, high-functioning department with consistent workflow Teaching hospital exposure - great for skill-building and resume value Hands-on role with end-to-end sterilization experience Balanced schedule with predictable weekend rotation Supportive team environment with clear processes
