Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Representative / Cashier to join our team in a dynamic retail environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. This role involves managing transactions, assisting customers with their inquiries, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. Responsibilities Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process customer transactions(receipts and shipments). Provide outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly Assist in merchandising and stocking shelves to maintain an organized store layout Conduct product demonstrations to enhance customer engagement and promote sales Utilize upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities during customer interactions Maintain accurate cash handling practices and ensure the cash register is balanced at the end of each shift Supervise junior staff when necessary, providing guidance and support to enhance team performance Uphold phone etiquette when answering customer calls, ensuring professionalism at all times Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and improve store operations Qualifications Over 18 years old, Bilingual, available hours, responsible, customer service. Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred Strong basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective customer interaction Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing service for diverse customers Familiarity with grocery store operations is advantageous Experience in supervising staff or leading teams is beneficial but not required Ability to perform product demos effectively to engage customers and drive sales A proactive approach to upselling products and services during customer interactions Join our convenience store team and help create a welcoming shopping environment while developing your skills in customer service and retail operations!
