Job Title: Strategic Sourcing Analyst Job Description The Strategic Sourcing Analyst supports the full deal life cycle for the IT category, with a strong focus on software and cloud services. This role oversees end-to-end procurement activities, including strategic sourcing, contract and price negotiation, and stakeholder management. The analyst manages a pipeline of medium-complexity sourcing engagements, supports senior category leads on higher-complexity deals, and helps drive continuous improvement in procurement processes and tools. Responsibilities Own a pipeline of medium-complexity sourcing engagements over $250,000 within the assigned IT category, with a focus on software and cloud services. Support Category Leads on high-complexity sourcing and negotiation engagements, providing analysis, documentation, and execution support. Establish effective negotiation plans and guide internal stakeholders through the contracting process from initial request to final agreement. Partner with Category Leads to develop and execute sourcing strategies, including competitive bids, evaluation agreements, supplier consolidation, and co-terming opportunities. Assist Category Leads with Oracle-related administrative tasks and procurement system updates. Collaborate effectively with other Category Teams, Supplier Management, Vendor Management Offices, Internal Clients, and Third Party Risk Management as needed. Engage with business requestors to understand requirements and translate them into clear and complete RFx documentation. Own and manage the end-to-end competitive bidding process, ensuring timely execution and alignment with business needs. Ensure consistent application of fair business practices and compliant procurement of products and services. Continuously examine and recommend ways to raise standards and improve procurement processes and procedures, contributing to the overall performance of the enterprise sourcing and procurement function. Support departmental process and technology initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Participate in special projects and perform other related duties as assigned. Leverage strong stakeholder management skills to build trusted relationships and effectively communicate sourcing strategies and outcomes. Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel and MS Office skills to analyze spend, compare proposals, and prepare clear summaries and recommendations for stakeholders. Essential Skills At least five years of related procurement experience, including sourcing and negotiating SaaS and other software/cloud services deals. Proven experience in strategic sourcing within IT procurement, particularly for software and cloud services. Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to guide internal clients through sourcing and contracting processes. Demonstrated ability to manage end-to-end procurement processes, including RFx development, competitive bidding, and contract negotiation. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office for data analysis, reporting, and documentation. Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Ability to develop and execute negotiation plans and sourcing strategies for medium-complexity engagements. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent sourcing engagements over $250,000. Clear written and verbal communication skills to create RFx documents and present sourcing recommendations. Commitment to fair business practices and consistent, compliant procurement of products and services. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working with Oracle procurement or related enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is preferred. Experience supporting or collaborating with Supplier Management, Vendor Management Offices, and Third Party Risk Management functions. Familiarity with software and cloud services commercial models and licensing structures. Experience supporting process and technology improvement initiatives within a procurement or sourcing organization. Exposure to or interest in working with AI-related tools or solutions in a procurement context is a plus. Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment and collaborate across teams and functions. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to compare proposals, evaluate supplier offerings, and identify value opportunities.
