As a Stream Access Worker, you will play a vital role in facilitating safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible access to water bodies for various stakeholders.Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help maintain the integrity of stream crossings, support environmental conservation efforts, and ensure compliance with safety standards.This paid position offers a dynamic environment where your proactive attitude and dedication can truly shine.Responsibilities Provide safe and authorized access to streams for maintenance crews, environmental teams, and authorized personnel.Conduct regular inspections of stream crossings, bridges, and access points to identify potential hazards or maintenance needs.Monitor water levels, flow conditions, and surrounding environment to ensure safe entry and exit points are maintained.Assist with installation, removal, or repair of access infrastructure such as gates, signs, or barriers.Document all activities accurately in logs and reports, including any safety concerns or incidents encountered during access.Follow established safety protocols and environmental guidelines to minimize impact on ecosystems during access activities.Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders regarding access schedules, safety updates, or environmental observations.Requirements Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods.Strong attention to detail with excellent observational skills.Physical stamina to walk, lift, bend, and carry equipment as needed during inspections or maintenance tasks.Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting findings clearly.Prior experience in environmental work, outdoor maintenance, or related fields is a plus but not mandatory.Knowledge of safety procedures related to waterway access and environmental protection is advantageous.Valid driver's license and the ability to operate basic equipment safely are preferred.Join us as a Stream Access Worker and be part of a dedicated team committed to safeguarding our waterways while supporting essential infrastructure!
