Woodard & Curran also aids employees in earning, upgrading, and keeping their certifications within the industry. What will you be doing at Woodard & Curran? Woodard & Curran is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Carlinville, Illinois. The ideal candidate will perform routine, preventive and corrective maintenance of right of way, streets, water distribution and sewer collection systems. Schedule: Mon-Fri 7:00-3:30pm with overtime. Essential duties are, but not limited to: Performing all routine, preventive and corrective maintenance assignments that are assigned by the project's preventive maintenance and repair program. Performing housekeeping duties in the maintenance department and on maintenance vehicles as assigned by the Foreperson. Performing all work in a safe and professional manner by following established safety, operating, and emergency response procedures. Performing all work to produce an end result which meets all goals and objectives set by the project’s manager. What will you need to succeed? Must have high school diploma or educational equivalent. Requires the ability to carry out verbal and written instructions. Must have the ability to establish effective working relationships with other employees. A valid Illinois State CDL drivers’ license is preferred. Must be willing to work schedules which may include weekend or holiday duty, carry a company provided radio, and be willing to respond to emergencies at any time. Ability to operate heavy equipment such as a backhoe, mini-hoe, skid steer, dump truck and street sweeper is preferred. Successful candidates will be required to complete a DOT background check, DOT pre-placement physical and DOT drug screen before employment. $23 - $23 an hour The salary ranges given below are a national average only and may be different for this role based on specific collective bargaining agreements or contract requirements. Please reference this project specific pay range. In addition, for facilities that are unionized and receive benefits through the union, the benefits may differ from what is listed.
