Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Civil / Structural Engineering Student to join our dynamic team. This position is ideal for current junior / senior students in civil engineering . It is preferred than the candidate has experience or currently taking a class in Statics, Mechanics of Materials, Structural Analysis, Steel Design or Steel Connection design . The successful candidate will assist in the design, analysis, and implementation of various structural projects, working closely with senior engineers and project managers to ensure high-quality outcomes. Responsibilities Collaborate with senior engineers to develop structural designs and specifications for various projects. Most projects pertain to structural steel connections, design of stair, railings and other miscellaneous metals. Assist in project scheduling and management to ensure timely completion of tasks. Utilize software tools such as, RAM Element, RAM Connections, RISA-3D and AutoCAD for drafting and design purposes. Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to evaluate structural performance under various conditions. Prepare detailed drawings and documentation using Bluebeam and other drafting tools. Participate in project engineering activities, including site visits and inspections as required. Support the team in building project proposals and presentations. Skills Some knowledge of AutoCAD for drafting and design work. Strong mathematical skills for calculations and problem-solving. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with team members. A proactive attitude towards learning new software tools and engineering practices.
